Firearm Safety

Treat every firearm as if it is loaded, regardless of actual or perceived condition.
When firearms are not in use, store firearms safely away from where they can be accessed by minors, Utilize a secure gun storage or safety device. (See ATF § 921 Definitions)
Never point a firearm at anything you do not intend to shoot. Keep your finger off the trigger until the decision to shoot has been made.
Know your target and what is beyond, projectiles travel beyond just the target area.
For those firearms with safety features, keep the safety “on” until the decision to shoot has been made.
